Academic Guidance

All students are provided with academic support when choosing courses, with a view to ensuring the student is well-equipped for post-graduation life. In the later years, emphasis is put on SAT preparation, with classes available for math, English and other SAT subjects. Graduating students are given extensive help with university applications to institutions in Japan, America, England, and throughout the world.

To graduate high school students must obtain a minimum of 22 credits.

Those students planning on attending university are advised to obtain a minimum of 23 credits. University bound students are also advised to complete 4 credit hours each in Math and Science as well as 2 credit hours in a foreign language. These are only general guidelines, however, as all universities have different requirements. Staff at OIS will help students in their search for universities and modify their program to meet with university requirements.
